Meeting Pod’s customers where they are

I got together with the Sales Enablement Team at Pod, and we created the foundation for their sales enablement system.

We created stage-specific stories for each role in the decision-making unit. We started with sales narratives about the real-life problems Pod’s prospects have, the value Pod brings, and how everything always turns out rosy in the end.

And Pod liked what I did so much that they asked me to do lots of other stuff, like case studies, objection handling, and scripts for their training videos.

I can’t put examples of the work here because, well, it belongs to Pod now.

But here’s an outline of what we achieved…

  • Deck engagement went up. Sales reps are now having meaningful dialogues grounded in empathy (not a monologue in sight).

  • Demo-to-next-step rate jumped from 28% to 62%.

  • Average stakeholder engagement per opportunity went from 1.7–3.4%.

  • Sales rep confidence in value conversations went from 55% - 85% after the narrative rollout and practice sessions.

  • And of course, the new sales enablement program brought a 40% lift in closed-won conversions (to be fair, this wasn’t all down to me, but I helped).

  • What’s more, sales staff are happier because they have all the tools they need to do their jobs brilliantly.

Here’s what the Sales Enablement Manager had to say…

I’ve worked with Leesa on some pretty complex storytelling challenges, and every single time she’s managed to turn our chaos into something clear, honest and deeply human.

We gave her a mix of half-formed ideas, jargon, and “we kind of mean this but not quite like that,” and she somehow turned it into a story that sounded exactly like us, only better. Not polished in a fake way, but true, sharp and emotional in all the right places.

What I really value about Leesa is how she listens. She doesn’t just take a brief and disappear. She asks smart questions, gently pushes where we’re hiding behind buzzwords, and keeps going until she finds the real heart of the story. And then she writes it in a way that makes people actually feel something and want to respond.

On top of that, she’s a joy to work with: warm, funny, grounded, and completely ego-free. No drama, just great work. If you need someone who can find your voice, not overwrite it with theirs, I’d recommend Leesa in a heartbeat.”
