Supporting women and children to break free from domestic abuse

Helping you take back control

Does it sometimes feel like you’re walking on eggshells?

Do you find yourself worrying over your words? Being careful with what you say or how you say things because of how someone else might react?

Is someone making you feel afraid?

You don’t have to do this on your own.

With over 30 years of experience working with women, children and young people, we’re here to help.

Whether you need refuge accommodation, legal advice, or support deciding on your next steps.

Perhaps right now you just need a safe, confidential person to talk to. Maybe you’ve left a dangerous situation and you need some support to make sense of your experiences and move forward.

You might not be ready to leave, that’s okay, too.

No one here is going to tell you what to do.

We’re here to provide information and support so that you can decide on the next right step for you.

In your own time.

What is domestic abuse?

Domestic abuse can involve a partner, ex-partner, family member, carer, or someone you live with.

It can be physical, emotional, sexual, psychological and financial. Sometimes it looks like coercive control, threats, criticism, isolation, or intimidation. Sometimes an abuser will use your children to harm or control you, if you have them.

Confusion is often present. When women come to us, they are often confused about what’s happening to them, why it’s happening, and they’re unsure what to do next.

We can help you get clarity.

You can call our helpline on 01296 437777. Or contact us via our online form

If you’re in immediate danger, please call 999.

We’re ready when you are.
